Busby Metals

For over fifty years this New York-headquartered metals company has been specializing in copper-based alloys for select industries – specializing in Aerospace and Oil and Gas. With fierce competition from larger organizations, it was time for Busby to create a current brand identity that reflected their thorough understanding of their specialized field and their value added services. To gain an accurate insight into the business, we conducted interviews with the staff, the clients, and vendors and I led a seven-hour brand discovery session with the partners. Based on this in-depth understanding, I created the brand strategy. From there, we strategically developed the new name, brand identity, website and marketing materials. The identity is simple but bold, confident, reliable and to the point (reflective of their service and customer service style). The design of the website and marketing materials is highly visual and clean but balanced with an industry and product focus. The website featured an online quote request custom-built engine, which streamlined the procedure for clients and new potential customers. The new brand was launched at a trade show where they received many compliments on the new look and received their largest order to date.
