Beedie Corporate Brand
Established in 1954, Beedie Development Group is one of British Columbia’s most respected companies specializing in land development, construction and property management.
The brief was to create a simple wordmark that leant towards ‘traditional’ but was able to be part of a more significant brand architect supporting the Capital, Living and Construction arms of the company. The serif font nods to their heritage and trusted representation, while the simple slash leans towards the future. Each sub-brand has a wordmark representing that division; Capital is a serif, trusted, and serious. Living (who builds residential homes) is sans-serif, sentence case, and approachable. Construction is condensed sans-serif, solid and confident. The sub-brands also had to work with different lockups of the Beedie wordmark and the tagline.
I created many templates/rules for all the brands to guide Beedie’s internal marketing team to manage future work and ensure consistency moving forward.
